All for the love of Cath . . . . .

Once upon a time there was a lady who loved all things Cath ...
(I do believe there are a few of us???)

Look what the postman brought me!

Cotton yarn in delicious colours
Armed with a pattern I had found on the internet
which you can find
I spent a wonderful hooky evening

Traditional pattern
and am delighted with the results

Coaster set

I will be making these to sell soon,
in sets of 6 mixed colours or to any combination of your choice.
You can contact me to order via email or my facebook page.

Back to my granny blanket making now . . .
I will be posting the progress I am making
and sharing the gorgeous granny goodness tomorrow!

A little something for me

Time off from school is precious
 and
this holiday whilst taking a week off from orders
I have enjoyed a little selfish hooky!

Who doesn't love a bit of granny goodness?

When I saw many of my pals on Instagram coming up with gorgeous
cowls, snoods and scarves I knew I just had to have a go!

The pattern I chose to use was written by the lovely Kath over at
Inverleith blog.

How exciting to rummage through my stash and find scraps to match with my different coats

This is what I came up with!
I am thrilled with my new cowl, it is so soft and snuggly.

I do encourage you
 to have a go
It really is very easy and suitable for any beginners
and any experienced hooky types will love the simplicity
knocking one up in a couple of sittings!

So go on over to Inverleith Blog NOW!

Bye for now ... back to my granny blanket

Gorgeous Granny Goodness

Colour Palettes from Design Seeds
have helped inspire my work so much this year
and I want to give credit to the wonderful excitement that they give,

Design Seeds
just making me want to delve into my yarn stash
and come up with yummy concoctions like these , , , , ,

So what better to make than
 gorgeous granny squares
 with these rich tapestry colours

which will in due course be made into a blanket

of the most cosy kind . . .

Back to my hooky now
more tomorrow!

Good night

 here at Patchwork House

Hello my lovely bloggy friends and a Happy New Year to you all!

yes I've been a bad blogger since I discovered Instgram.
But I have missed you all, so here I am back with a new look!

2012 a year of crochet

This past year has mainly been a year of crochet.
I have switched my attentions from patchwork and upcycling
 to all things hooky.
So you can await a stream of yarny goodness!

My refreshed blog
 will be mainly photos
with the aim of
 inspiring and encouraging
more of you to take up that hook!

I look forward to catching up with you all
