The fact that I was nominated,

 out of all the fabulous blogs out there,

 is a huge encouragement to me. 

Living with a chronic illness

 and having had to retire from a successful career as a teacher,

has seen a new direction in my life.

 It has found me filling my time with crochet

 and using my teaching skills in another way.

 My blog writing and daily posting on

 Facebook and Instagram

 has become my new occupation,

 bringing me into daily contact 

with wonderful people all round the world.

Sharing daily photographs of my work brings me much pleasure

 and at the same time encourages many people to crochet too.

Once a teacher, always a teacher I guess

 and I find myself drawn to writing step by step tutorials,

 teaching and explaining techniques that I have used,

 sharing colour recipes to help people create beautiful items

 and enabling people to crochet.
